Privacy Policy

SkippaBeep and SkippaPen are products of Polar Codes (Randall Chance Jiles, doing business as Polar Codes), League City, Texas ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who this covers
- Our customers: the service businesses (for example plumbing, HVAC, electrical and roofing shops) that use SkippaBeep or SkippaPen.
- Their callers and customers: people who call one of those businesses, or receive a text or report from one.
- Website visitors: people who visit skippabeep.com or request a demo.
Information we collect
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address and service address, when you give them to us or to a business that uses our service.
- Messages and call details: the date and time of calls to a business using SkippaBeep, and the content of text messages sent and received through our service.
- Job information: for SkippaPen, the notes, photos, voice recordings, signatures and reports a business creates for a job.
- Basic technical data: IP address and browser details when you use our website or apps, used for security and to keep the service working.
How we use it
- To answer missed calls by text on behalf of the business you called, and to pass your request to that business.
- To send messages you asked for, such as a follow-up about a demo request.
- To create and deliver job reports and review requests for the business that did your job.
- To run, secure, support and improve our service.
We use trusted service providers to run our service (for example hosting, database, email and text-message delivery, and AI tools that transcribe or summarize messages). They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
Text messaging (SMS) privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors that provide support services, such as customer service or message delivery, is permitted. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We don't sell your information
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we don't use callers' information to market our own products to them.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as the business using our service needs it, or as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. Opt-out (STOP) records are kept so we can honor them.
Security
Information is stored with access controls so each business can only see its own records, and is sent over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing hello@skippabeep.com. If your information came from a business that uses our service, we may refer your request to that business.
Children
Our service is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
